Passes can be reserved up to one month in advance. Bookings will open up accordingly.

You must have an Ocean State Library Card in good standing to reserve this pass.

This is a physical pass that must be picked up at the Youth Services Desk.

The Museum is temporarily closed Saturday, August 31, through November 2024 for renovations and improvements to the museum and planetarium. Museum will RE-OPEN to the public in late November. Click here for more information about this temporary closure.

The Museum of Natural History is Rhode Island’s only natural history museum and is home to the state’s only public planetarium. For more than a century the museum has served as a unique educational, scientific and cultural resource by offering exciting exhibits and programming that provide ways for children and families to learn about our world and its people.

This pass provides free admission for two adults and up to four children under the age of 18. Admission applies only to exhibits, and does not include planetarium shows or special programs.
